THE GOSPEL IS A GREAT NEED
In 2015, I attended an international school of transformational leadership. At that time, no doubt I had personally met Jesus but I was dealing with the issue of deciding what career I should pursue. Everything around me appeared to me broken. Like many young students in Senegal, fleeing to France, the UK or the US seemed to be the only option for me if I wanted to do something with my life. God used this training to open my eyes to see beyond the economic needs. At a deeper level, people here are spiritually dead before the economic poverty at the surface. I realized that this was God’s soft voice to share Jesus with people around me for a holistic transformation. I found pleasure sharing the Gospel instead of migrating abroad because I know that, in the end, this is what will matter for eternity.
Born and raised in Senegal, I am grateful to be called by God to serve in this country. In addition to serving with the Wilkersons in Saly and surrounding areas to reach out to the Wolof people through Veterinary education and English tutoring, I am currently also working to open a business-oriented mission office in Dakar. I believe that this will help connect us with people to demonstrate what work as an act of worship looks like. There are many ways this business will glorify the Lord. First, it will demonstrate Christ’s love by providing jobs. Second, it opens doors to bring the gospel to people in their workplaces. Third, an inspiring Christian business model will be a starting journey for financially independent local Churches.
EXPERIENCE AND ACADEMICS
My experience these past 4 years working with a local NGO was eye-opening to see how people are in great need to hear the Gospel. My academic major is Development Sociology and English. I speak French, Wolof, and English. I also attended The African Leadership Institute for Community Transformation to become a change agent in this country.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND SUPPORT FOR THIS MINISTRY IN SENEGAL!
